New Suicide Prevention Awareness Ribbon       Suicide Awareness Prevention Ribbon Symbol

For this year's World Suicide Prevention  (WSPD), September 10, 2016, the International Association for Suicide Prevention has launched a universal suicide prevention awareness ribbon. The ribbon colors - yellow and orange - were chosen to represent both suicide prevention awareness and bereavement. The two-toned ribbon is also indicative of a candle flame which ties in nicely with IASP's "Light a Candle" WSPD activity and the many candlelight events held around the world. IASP's wish is for the suicide prevention awareness ribbon to become globally recognizable, much like other worthwhile causes.

SAVE is honored to join the IASP and support this initiative. SAVE is the only distributor of these ribbons in the United State. Ribbons are available for purchase here.

Join us on World Suicide Prevention Day and proudly wear the new universal suicide prevention ribbon!

Named Memorial

A SAVE Named Memorial is a memorial established to honor and/or remember someone who has lost his or her life through suicide. You can establish a SAVE Named Memorial in remembrance of a loved one or a very special friend.

This lasting legacy can be designated to a specific SAVE purpose and insures that critical SAVE programs will continue to be financially supported. Gifts can continually be added to an established Named Memorial. A letter will be sent informing the person or family of the gift to the fund.
