Presentations and Training

SAVE is a recognized leader in the field of suicide prevention training and offers expert speakers on the topic of suicide, mental health and bereavement. We offer a range of presentations and training from intensive workshops for professionals to general prevention events in a community setting. We have the knowledge and flexibility to design a presentation or training to suit the interests, needs and requirements of the organization or audience.

Professional Training
SAVE provides professional training on suicide prevention for health care professionals, hospitals, armed forces and veterans groups, government agencies, educators and school administration. Topics include gatekeeper training, public awareness, media reporting, suicide and the entertainment industry and social media.
*Grand Rounds for Continuing Education Credits are applicable.

Community Presentations
SAVE offers professional speakers for suicide prevention conferences, workshops and as keynote addresses. We can help plan and facilitate community-based presentations that inform parents, students, congregations and other groups about suicide and prevention. SAVE has trained volunteers available to appear at schools, PTOs, churches, senior centers and other community groups.

Bereavement Support
SAVE is able to provide training and presentations that instruct and inform on bereavement in the aftermath of a loss to suicide in a community. In addition to public and professional presentations, SAVE also offers counseling, bereavement materials and other postvention services.

Dr. Dan Reidenberg is the Executive Director of SAVE and is the principle speaker for the organization. He is a recognized leader in the field of suicide prevention and has spoken nationally and internationally on suicide prevention and grief support to more than 350,000 people.


He is also the Managing Director of the National Council for Suicide Prevention, serves on the Steering Committee for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline and the Suicide Prevention Resource Center and is the U.S. Representative to the International Association for Suicide Prevention.

He also consults with psychologists, attorneys, and businesses on healthcare and legal matters, having testified in over 300 forensic cases. Dan has been interviewed by the media countless times from around the world on various topics including: children, adolescents, mental and chemical health issues, suicide, parenting, child maltreatment issues, custody, and prostitution.

Dan graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1988 with a degree in Psychology and minor in Child Psychology and received
his Doctor of Clinical Psychology degree in 1994 from the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology.
