Volunteer with SAVE
SAVE is a national nonprofit, located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, so many of our volunteer opportunities are in the Twin Cities area. However, we are always looking for people interested in helping from a distance as well. If you live outside of the Minneapolis area please look at our other ways to help section to find additional helpful ways to get involved.
SAVE relies on its volunteers to carry out the organization's mission. Volunteers are integral to SAVE's success in delivering its three primary focus areas of public awareness, education and resources. If you choose to volunteer with SAVE, we guarantee you will make a difference by reducing the stigma of depression and by educating about depression, other brain illnesses and suicide prevention.
There are many opportunities for volunteers, including
- Helping in the SAVE office
- Speaking in the community
- Staffing tables or booths
- Writing for the "Voices" newsletter
- Creating and serving on committees for local and national events
- And more
To get started you can download and fill out a brief volunteer form telling us about yourself and your volunteer interests with SAVE. For more information about SAVE you can also download and look over the short one page Who Is SAVE information sheet.
