SAVE celebrates today’s passage of Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA) at U.S. Senate Commerce Committee’s

The following is a statement from Erich Mische, CEO of SAVE on Senate Commerce Committee Approval of KOSA

“Today, the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation reported the Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA, S.1748) favorably out of committee. The bill will now move to the full U.S. Senate, where it has 77 bipartisan sponsors. SAVE extends its thanks to Chairmen Ted Cruz and Ranking Member Maria Cantwell for making KOSA a priority at today’s markup. We also extend our thanks to U.S. Senators Marsha Blackburn, Richard Blumenthal, and Minnesota’s own U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar for their leadership and support. We would not be here today without the parents who have fought tirelessly to move this legislation forward, turning their grief into action. Today marks an important milestone in the fight to protect children online, but it is not the finish line. We urge our leaders in Congress to work together to pass the strongest possible version of KOSA this year. Marked up. Voted out. Now pass KOSA.”
